For your protection, Privy uses two-factor authentication (2FA) to verify your identity at login. This added layer of security helps ensure that only you can access your account, even if someone else knows your password.

How 2FA Works at Privy

When you sign in to Privy, a unique verification code is sent to the email address associated with your account. You'll need to enter that code on the login screen to complete the sign-in process.

Example:
You enter your password → we send a 6-digit code to your email → you enter the code → you gain access.

Why Your Email Must Be Current

If you cannot access the email inbox tied to your Privy account, you will not be able to receive the verification code or log in.

To ensure uninterrupted access:

  • Confirm your email address is up to date

  • Check your spam or junk folders for messages from Privy

  • Make sure you can log into your email before signing into Privy

How to Update Your Email

If you no longer have access to the email on file, contact Privy Support with the following information:

  • Your full name

  • Your phone number

  • The email currently tied to your Privy account

  • The new email address you’d like to use

Contact support here: https://www.privy.pro/contact

Once your identity is verified, we’ll update your email and restore access.

Best Practices

  • Always keep your email address updated

  • Never share your login credentials

  • Set up email forwarding if needed to ensure you receive messages from Privy
